Content: This session will cover the interactions between lightning, upper atmospheric discharges, and onosphere/thermosphere/mesosphere. We call for reports or papers on recent observational and theoretical results on lightning, upper atmospheric discharges, and their effects on the upper atmosphere/ionosphere. Particularly, contributions of papers on lightning, sprites, jets, elves, and other lightning-induced transient effects of local or global scales are welcome.
